Beach
One the differentiating factors about Chennai is the beautiful east coast with some amazing resorts and open beaches around. Be it a sunrise or a sunset, you can never go wrong in getting some amazing images during your couple shoot when shooting at these lovely beaches.
Dakshinchitra
DakshinaChitra ("a picture of the south") is an exciting cross-cultural living museum of art, architecture, lifestyles, crafts and performing arts of South India. DakshinaChitra has a collection of 18 authentic historical houses with contextual exhibitions in each house. A great place for traditional and ethnic attire-styled shoots.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts
One of the best options if you are looking for a combination of contemporary styled shoot along with some frames along the private beach. The stunning & unconventional barracks-like layout with long corridors makes it one of our favorite resorts on ECR from photography stand point.

Another beautiful resort on ECR from Marriot group. It has some beautiful frames and lush green garden area along with a private beach.

The Secret Garden, Thiruvanmiyur
The Secret Garden has options for both indoor and outdoor shooting. They even have a garden space with colourful, floral arrangements and a walkaway with emerald green creepers. A decent and cost-effective option for couple portraits and save the dates etc.
Fika, Chennai
Chennai’s newest hangout where Scandinavian design and Wes Anderson-inspired elements come together. If you are looking for a location right in the heart of the city, Semmozhi Poonga is a botanical garden situated on the Cathedral Road–Anna Salai junction, opposite the American Consulate.
Has a lot of greenery around but has limited options from photography stand point.

There are some beautiful properties and farmhouses around the East coast road which work really well for smaller functions and couple shoots.

Shore temple, Mamallapuram
On the shores of Bay of Bengal, stands the Shore temple of Mahabalipuram. A sheer sculptural Extravaganza! This sea village has a wonderful landscape with exquisite cave temples.
