RADISSON BLU TEMPLE BAY WEDDING STORY - SUBHASHREE & NAVEEN Subhashree and Naveen have known each other for quite some time. The more time they spent with each other, the more they realized that they were ‘it’. They brought out the best in the other and became the “go-to person” for each other. THE PREPARATION Our couple always wanted to support the local talents in India and for the same reason they got their wedding attire custom weaved by one of the local artisans of Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Subhashree was able to work closely with a local weaving family in Kanchipuram who weaved the exact design and the amount of gold she wanted to be incorporated in the saree. Their wedding color theme was sunset colors with color code b1c5d4 (blue), d298b1 (pink) and gold (yes, that's the sunset color).
We were so excited to share this with all our future couples who can find more details regarding their preparations at their blog: https://www.subhaandnaveen.com/the-planning They married each other in a beautiful two-day celebration at the Radisson Blu Temple Bay, Mahabalipuram. Here are a few of our favorite moments from their festivities. NALANGU & MANGALA SNANAM OF SUBHASHREE The day started with Nalangu of Subhashree followed by her Mangala Snanam. In this ritual, the bride and groom are smeared with turmeric in their respective homes and then given a holy bath with turmeric water to cleanse their body and mind before the sacred ritual of becoming one (the wedding). ‘Mangala Snanam means holy bath (‘Mangala’ means holy, ‘Snanam’ means bath). The setup was done in the garden area right next to the beach. Just the close family members were a part of this ritual and that's the best part as you get to see some real emotions from everyone out there. It was a delight capturing the vibrant and energetic families celebrating one of the most important days of their life!
SANGEET/ RECEPTION We started with the getting-ready portraits and couple shots of the couple. We met Naveen first and he was ready on time excited yet composed for his big day.
When we spoke to Subhashree a little while before she made her bridal entry, she told us she wasn’t nervous at all. In fact, she was excited to finally start a life together with Naveen. Knowing Subhashree and Naveen, we knew the sangeet night was going to be a blast! And we were right. But before that, some portraits had to be made of the stunning Subhashree and the debonair Naveen.
Ready to rock the night with their moves! The event was full of some fun games, performances, and a wild dance floor. What a day!
WEDDING The way Subhashree and Naveen planned their cross-culture Tamil-Telugu wedding is commendable. They were open to all our inputs and planned the entire event perfectly with their brilliant wedding planners Dev & Krithika from Wedding Aaha.
Subhashree and Naveen kept sneaking glances at each other throughout the wedding ceremony. The way they looked at each other was absolutely adorable.
WEDDING FILMWe have such fond memories of this wedding – and we wish them all the very best! WEDDING MAKER Photography and Cinematography: https://www.rohanmishraphotography.com/ |
