A Tale of Love and Local Artistry: Subhashree & Naveen's Radisson Blu Temple Bay Wedding

Subhashree and Naveen have known each other for quite some time. The more time they spent with each other, the more they realized that they were ‘it’. They brought out the best in the other and became the “go-to person” for each other.

THE PREPARATION

Subhashree and Naveen's love story unfolded in the vibrant hues of a sunset-themed wedding at Radisson Blu Temple Bay (https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us/hotels/radisson-blu-resort-mamallapuram-temple-bay) . Their journey, a testament to companionship, became a canvas for supporting local talents.

In the heart of Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, Subhashree collaborated closely with local artisans to weave her wedding attire. The result was a bespoke masterpiece, a reflection of her vision with a touch of local craftsmanship.

Their wedding color theme was sunset colors with color code b1c5d4 (blue), d298b1 (pink) and gold (yes, that's the sunset color).

Also, all the flowers used for their events were grown and brought from Hosur (which is where Subhashree was born and brought up!) Additionally, their wedding mandap was brought from Hyderabad (which is where Naveen grew up!)

We were so excited to share this with all our future couples who can find more details regarding their preparations at their blog: https://www.subhaandnaveen.com/the-planning

NALANGU & MANGALA SNANAM OF SUBHASHREE

The day started with Nalangu of Subhashree followed by her Mangala Snanam. In this ritual, the bride and groom are smeared with turmeric in their respective homes and then given a holy bath with turmeric water to cleanse their body and mind before the sacred ritual of becoming one (the wedding). ‘Mangala Snanam means holy bath (‘Mangala’ means holy, ‘Snanam’ means bath).

The setup was done in the garden area right next to the beach. Just the close family members were a part of this ritual and that's the best part as you get to see some real emotions from everyone out there. It was a delight capturing the vibrant and energetic families celebrating one of the most important days of their life!

SANGEET/ RECEPTION

The Sangeet and Reception kicked off with getting-ready portraits and couple shots capturing the couple's excitement and composure. Naveen, ready on time and filled with anticipation, set the stage for a night of fun games, performances, and a lively dance floor.

As the radiant sunset colors adorned the event, Subhashree and Naveen's love shone through every detail.
